Thespian Troupe #721 is a charter member of the International Thespian Society, the only organization to honor
secondary school students for outstanding work in theatre.
Troupe # 721 started in 1946. We currently have 34 active Thespians, but at least 75 or more students will work on productions at a given time. We currently run two shows a year, a fall drama and a spring musical. Information about upcoming events, fundraisers, rehearsals and/or information about the shows we will be putting on this year are located in the Calendar and Show menu. For the past 5 years, we have participated in the Helen Hayes High School awards program. The Helens includes schools from Bergen, Rockland, Westchester, and Orange counties. Over the years, we have been nominated numerous times and have collected 10 Helen Hayes awards. The word "Thespians" originates from the first known actor named Thespis, a Greek performer.
